UNDERWONDER

> about: “UnderWonder” continues the typology started with Finis Africae following a thin line in interpreting and playing with our imagination alongside the abstract look. Yet again, the artwork is populated with hidden, imaginary beings waiting to be discovered at a closer look. The hidden erotic position of the body invaded by an overlapped swarm of flying fishes flowing in a precisely determined direction, alludes somehow the relations between the naked woman’s body and the fish. Also, the mythological transformation of the human body into a marine creature, is one of the themes often represented in the artist’s works. The painting puts under scrutiny, under-wonder-ing, a key element in order to reveal a secret found somewhere in a world of dreams, in a world of fairytales.

The artwork presents several layers of glossy varnish in order to protect the metalwork with copper foil. The artwork is signed by the artist on front bottom right with black ink.
