Website Official Launch, october 10, 2018
[For the official launch of my new website, even it is online for more that 1 year, I asked some of my friends to write a few words about my works. The initial idea was to attach the texts in the “about me” section. I was extremely surprised to receive many reviews and many various beautiful thoughts from artists that I appreciate most and knows my works for many years now. Because of limited space in “ABOUT” section I decided to put all of them on this blog page. I want to thank again to all my friends who wrote here and to invite, the ones that I missed, to write some words for this page.]
“I adore the works of Alexandru Crisan. A poem that graces the beauty of mysticism, mystery, power with so much depth. His works are an expression of the soul that evokes a powerful human emotion; it is a classic example of a genius in fine art photography. Alexandru Crisan truly is a blessing for the world of photography.” (Hengki Koentjoro, 2018 >> http://www.hengki-koentjoro.com/)
“Alexandru Crisan is a very talented and award winning photographer who is able to translate his overwhelming imagination in the limitedness of the available dimensions of the two-dimensional media he is using. His proposed and thought realities are in fact, most of the time multidimensional surrealities, because of the variety of – sometimes rather hidden – layers which he is adding to his expressions. Crisan world is a diverse environment of emotions, despair, hope, doubt, fear, but always a poetic and an esthetic exercise too, even if a topic doesn’t give rise, at the first sight, to such a poetic interpretation. I highly appreciate his work, in fact in all its appearances, with a slight preference to these topics which are dealing with human sensitive and emotional states of mind. Crisan knows apparently how to perforate through the objective into the human soul, always with unexpected and surprising outcomes.”
“A photograph of Alexandru is worth more than a thousand words”. (Antonio Palmerini, 2018 >> http://antoniopalmerini.tumblr.com/)
“Unfortunately, a significant number of contemporary so-called fine art photographers are infected by a malicious virus, I call plagiarism. What is plagiarism in artistic photography nowadays? Those colleagues do not simply copy and modify images in Photoshop of outstanding, legendary artistic photographers such as Adams, Levin, Hoflehner, Lindbergh etc. They do it much more sophistically, that is, by parotting their unique styles by actually visiting the very same spots, taking photographs under identical conditions (daytime, weather, light, frame and so on) of the same objects, after post processing in the same fashion coming up with virtually identical images of those great photographer legends… OK, everyone is free to do photography in such a fashion, but originality, innovation, creativity, is entirely lacking here, thus, such kind of photographers just deliver boring fake results IMO. Alexandru’s work, what I have been knowing and admiring for around a decade now, strives for the opposite: for actual, unique and therefore fascinating originality, what is not easy at all, that is, innovation combined with a wonderful sense of awesome aesthetics in artistic photography. Furthermore, he has developed his very own, unique style and manages to show us formerly virtually or actually pretty unknown land and seascapes in Romania as well as abroad (Italy, etc.). Alexandru has actually been looking for the unknown, he does want to enter and discover new land and break new ground like Columbus and so many others did, what I actually appreciate very much. Moreover, I’m quite sure, we both share beyond this attitude further similar attitude and motivation in artistic photography, that is, among other things, dealing with the mystery of our world, particularly time and space, and our own existence as human beings in the universe. Therefore, I always enjoy studying Alexandru’s work and I look forward to checking out new pieces of great art in the future.” (Volker Birke, 2018 >> https://www.volkerbirke.com/)
“Through my quest in art photography, there are but a few artists that I am constantly following their work. From “Impossible worlds” to “Architecture”, Alexandru’s diverse imagery and signature style is what made me study his images and find the hidden worlds behind them. Devoid of conventional interpretations, Alexandru’s works are a case study in art photography. (Theodore Kefalopoulos, 2018 >> https://www.teokefalopoulos.com/)
“In this oversaturated time where images fly by in swipe or a click there are still a few photographers who demand more than a passing glance. The works of Alexandru Crisan are a perfect example of an artist whose work constantly intrigues. His portfolio is diverse, his images always outstanding in composition and execution and for me it is a necessary pleasure to follow the growth of this outstanding photographer.” (Steve Allsopp, 2018 >> https://www.noosalifeimages.com)
“Most photographs start and end with the click of the shutter. But very seldom they end with the click of the viewers’ brain. That’s where the difference between a normal image an an impactful one resides. And the difference between a good photographer and a great one who understands that a picture is not just a compilation of pixels. Alexandru Crisan is one of those unusual ones. And he does it by exposing his soul and sharing his most intimate feelings with the world. Different audiences might react differently to his unique visuals, but it’s very unlikely they’ll be able to ignore them. His images are a constant invitation to pause, to reflect, and to walk away listening to the echo of an inner WOW!” (Carlos Caicedo, 2018 >> https://500px.com/carloscaicedo1)
“For many years now I follow your travel in the surreal and beautiful world you create. It is always a pleasure to see your dreamy and full of emotion works, that certainly stands out from the millions of images overwhelming our everyday life. I expect with eagerness the creation of your personal online space, to fully enjoy your complete art projects.” (George Digalakis, 2018 >> http://www.digalakisphotography.com/)
“These days everybody more or less talented can achieve an excellence in operating the shutter button and exposure times. We can find thousands, if not millions, of images with a perfect technique in all galleries worldwide and on the net. Of course Alexandru owns this perfect technique too, but what differs him from the rest and what counts most these days in photography is his own unique style. Many photographers, copy their styles from each other, e.g. LE images with piers, rocks and trees in the water. One doesn’t differ from another. One repeats another one of no own style, no emotions, no soul, only an excellent technique. Alexandru has an exceptional style, only his own, recognizable. Every artwork of his is fulfilled with a certain thought, various emotions, where you can find a thoughtful intention. And where you can meet his soul.” (Maria Walewska (M W), 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/32235)
“Versatility, creativity, mysticism, mystery and originality… For me, Alexandru is not only a fine art photographer but a real contemporary visual artist.” (Yalçin Varnali, 2018 >> www.yalcinvarnali.com)
“The first photos I had the pleasure of admiring of Alexandru Crisan are those of his series “Impossible Worlds”, along with his photography of architecture, even if to define them “of architecture” is something rather simplistic, as the definition fails to fully capture the intrinsic qualities of the work. In fact, these photos are able to go far beyond the simple, expressive rhetoric of architectural language… so is, precisely, thanks to them that I met Alexandru Crisan and it is through them that I had access to his photographic world. A “transliterated” world, in which the character of reality is replaced by that of the surreal. The reversal of the elements of space is a reversal of the points of reference that projects our imagination into a metaphysical and abstract dimension. What should be ordinary becomes alienating. Or it would be better to say, something that does not belong to this planet, but to an alien universe. So the buildings appear as ancient, monolithic cathedrals, as dreamlike and futuristic alien spaceships. These impossible worlds have the ability to catch our imagination to capture it definitively within its labyrinthical mirages. Or leave it free to wander in its infinite vastness. But they can also be, themselves, unconscious extension and projection of our mind, in a game of pareidolia illusions capable of giving life and face to ancient deities and ancestral creatures. I like the pictures of Alexandru because they have the same substance as dreams. Or perhaps an interstellar journey. A journey of restlessness, of mysteries, of illusions, of wonders.” (Roberto De Mitri, 2018 >> https://www.roberto-demitri.net/ )
“First of all, I noticed Alexandru Crisan as an exceptional draftsman and painter with a unique style. Over time, I was also able to pursue his artistic variety in photography. Both in landscape photography, architectural photography as well as in studio portraits you notice his special view, always in brilliant execution. I’m looking forward to future works.” (Maria Frodl, 2018 >> http://mariafrodl.com/)
“Alexandru Crisan, with a very powerful aesthetic characteristic, suggestive, intelligent, has changed my concept of photography, I definitely affirm, without any doubt, that his photography is ART, with capital letters. He is able to approach any topic, from any aesthetic perspective, with a mastery that borders on perfection. Sublimate your images so that they impact directly on the soul, on the heart, transporting the senses to unknown territories, unexplored and, sometimes, disturbing of reason. I look forward to Alexandru’s new publications, I’m sure he will continue to surprise us.” (Iryna Gragera, 2018 >> http://www.oozealliance.com/iryna-gragera.html)
“I knew Alexandru Crisan as a painter and I was impressed by his original style in the ink on paper, and then I saw the pictures in these wonderful series. These photos are a transposition of reality into a poem. A great beauty Looking at his series, we move from pure visual enchantment to philosophical thought, as much the figurative with the images of the winter of his country, the minimalism and the magnificent “Impossible worlds”, and the tormented “Asylum” the guiding thread is always the poetic and philosophical look of an imaginary world but also of a cruel reality. Through the look, his works make visible the hidden depths of the soul, states of mind, feelings. I admire his work and why not recognize that he is also a source of inspiration.” (Paul Surdulescu, 2018 >> http://www.paulsurdulescu.com)
“Desde sus dibujos a sus fotografías no ha dejado de sorprenderme gratamente este humanista del siglo XXI. Es en este último campo es donde según mi opinión, se ha salido de todos los cauces habidos y por haber. Mezcla de luces y sombras, de quietud y moviento, de dolor y ternura. Sumergido en la dualidad es difícil describir lo que no se llega a sentir al observar su obra.” / “From his drawings to his photographs, this humanist of the 21st century has pleasantly surprised me. It is in this last field is where, in my opinion, it has left all channels and had. Mixture of lights and shadows, of stillness and movement, of pain and tenderness. Submerged in duality, it is difficult to describe what one can not feel when observing his work.” (Teté Herrera, 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/9593)
“Alexandru Crisan immediately attracted my attention as an artist. His works, whether painting or photography, have an incredible sensitivity and strength. I especially like his photos that have a human dimension, each of them “narrate” a story full of emotions passions and dreams that we may try to hide from ourselves because we believe that in this way we will remain organized and partially invulnerable. Alexandru Crisan with the power of his images pushes us to recognise and accept our life with any kind of fear, dream and passion which it may have. This is why I consider him a great artist.” (Katerina Apostolakou, 2018 >> http://katerinaapostolakou.gr/)
“Il faut considérer l’art non comme la reproduction du monde mais comme la production d’un monde. Il y a, dans l’œuvre photographique d’Alexandru, une dimension artistique étonnante. Elle nous permet de découvrir ce que nous ne percevons pas dans la réalité. Par le détour de sa création, Alexandru révèle et dévoile le monde; il stimule nos perceptions assoupies. Ce chemin de création défini l’homme et le photographe: Alexandru est un artiste libre, un poète de l’image, un quêteur d’infini.” / “We must consider art not as the reproduction of the world, but as the production of a world. There is, in Alexandru’s photographic work, an astonishing artistic dimension. It allows us to discover what we do not perceive in reality. By the detour of his creation, Alexandru reveals and unveils the world; it stimulates our sleepy perceptions. This path of creation defines the man and the photographer: Alexandru is a free artist, a poet of the image, a Questor of infinity.” (Pierre Lucas, 2018 >> http://www.pierrelucas.fr/)
“Alexandru Crisan is a great artist. His photography work is very unique and poetic. I especially admire his work about the human condition. Those series are full of deep emotions and they express our inner world in the best way. Alexandru Crisan’s talent of revealing us a new psychological dimension through his work is outstanding. He has the great ability to transform emotions into photos.” (Nasos Karabelas, 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/23384)
“彼の写真作品は魔法の風です。 風の音は彼の音楽です。 彼の音楽は私の頬を優しく刺す。 彼の風と音楽は本当に彼の唯一のものです。 今、展覧会で音楽を聴いています。” / “His photographic work is a magic wind. The sound of the wind is his music. His music gently sticks my cheek. His wind and music is truly his only ones. Now, I am listening to the music carefully at the exhibition.” (Haruhisa Terasaki, 2018 >> http://www.oozealliance.com/haruhisa-terasaki.html)
“Alexandru Crisan passa con maestria e disinvoltura dalla foto in bianco e nero al colore attraversando tutti i generi, dal paesaggio al ritratto, dal nudo artistico alla fotografia creativa, dall’ architettura al genere concettuale; con la stessa maestria e disinvoltura passa dalla fotografia al disegno. Alexandru Crisan non è solo un fotografo ma un vero Artista.” / “Alexandru Crisan passes with skill and confidence from the black and white photo to the color crossing all genres, from landscape to portrait, from artistic nude to creative photography, from architecture to conceptual genre; with the same mastery and ease he moves from photography to drawing. Alexandru Crisan is not just a photographer but a true artist.” (Pietrino Di Sebastiano, 2018 >> http://www.disebastiano.eu/)
“From the first time I saw Alexandru Crisan’s photography, I became fascinated and wanted to see more. It’s exciting to discover his works, because what’s behind the immediate? Thoughts and imagination begin – exciting! Alexandru has a high standard of technology and content, spreading wide – breathtaking scenery, beautiful architecture and challenging portraits. Alexandru is a artist I will follow in the future, I do not want to miss his works.” (Jørgen Feldstedt, 2018 >> http://www.jffoto.dk/)
“Alexandru Crisan is a seeker artist. The multitude of styles and forms which he touches always combines with extraordinary expression. I love his unique graphics and his “symmetrical worlds” in photography. Mysterious people and mysterious worlds full of emotions built of sensitivity, feelings and impatient desire to know.” (Pavel Javor, 2018 >> http://javor.finegallery.net/)
“Alexandru creates images that move my sensitivity. They are expressive, emotional, they touch sensitivity, they cross the borders of external superficiality. They reflect the existence of an un-enchanted, mystical, like se sleep. His acts are not a stereotypical masculine understanding of the beauty of the female body, it is an asset to me, it attracts me. Alexandru is a very conscious photographer and in emotions as well as photography of nature where he achieves harmony. It is a pleasure to write a few words about his wonderful work, but these few words do not exhaust what you can feel in the poetics of his work.” (Monika Cichoszewska, 2018 >> http://monikacichoszewska.com/en/)
Con grande rispetto, Ale” / “There are several things that I cannot pardon. In my furious envy, I managed, with great difficulty, not to melt me too admiring the extraordinary magic of Alexandru’s paintings. I told myself: not all are born painters and I’m just not! But I’m afraid of not being able to forgive him his extraordinary eclecticism. Every road, he has undertaken in photography have been absolutely impeccably traveled: be it architecture, landscapes, portraits and moods represented, these were performed with a wonderful technique and a ruthless talent. Crystalline class and verve in abundance: Crisan you have no mercy on me!…. With great respect, Ale.” (Alessandro Rovelli, 2018 >> http://www.oozealliance.com/alessandro-rovelli.html)
“Alexandru is very a versatile artist who always surprise with new creative ideas. His pictures are full of emotions and feeling, no matter if it is countryside, architecture or people. Its a pleasure for me to watch his progress and evolution of works.” (Andrea Ehrenreich, 2018 >> https://www.andreaehrenreich.com/)
“I know Aleandru’s Art from about 2014 when I started to approach the world of International Photography Awards competitions and Alexandru was one of the top names on the list and therefore I realise that he was one of the most talented photographers to follow. In fact, I could admire his wonderful works. I really like his art because it varies in different styles and subject, however I am fascinated above all by his abstract metaphysical works that is full of emotions which take you into a dreamlike world.” (Massimiliano Balo, 2018 >> http://www.oozealliance.com/massimiliano-balo.html)
“Having been retired from Architecture for a decade after 45 years and Photographing since 1997 with local, national and international awards, It is my pleasure to have known Alexandru and his artistic endeavors for years. I am extremely awed each and every time at every piece of artwork produced by this energetic young man. Majestic, Elegant, Exemplary, Fabulous, Magnificent, Tremendous, Brilliant, Marvelous, Gorgeous, Exquisite and Exceptional are words to describe my friend’s work. I highly value and respect Alexandru Crisan’s art.” (James A. Crawford, 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/26338)
“Alexandru Crisan is an artist with a really stunning variety and creativity in his works. His photography is full of beauty and often has a dark and mystical mood in it, which gives it an interesting emotional depth and an inwardness. It also appeals to me very much in its perfect technical implementation. I am also and especially a fan of Crisans paintings: These wonderful, strange and sometimes gloomy graphical visions, so well thought-out and uniquely made – always inspiring and a great pleasure to look at.” (Philomena Famulok, 2018 https://www.artlimited.net/21652)
“I met Alex about 2 years ago, while attending a photography workshop. Unlike the others, he photographed on the film and this caught my attention. I become more and more interested in his works since then and I was pleasantly impressed to discover wonderful things and a unique artistic vision. His photographic works immediately caught my attention. I have discovered a special, minimalist and creative style. Alex uses light, motion and time to create emotion-producing compositions and an intense, abstract (sometimes dreamy) mood! I really enjoy the great impact that every photo (architecture, abstract or nude) conveys to the viewer. You cannot be not impressed by his particular “mark” with a strong and orderly, aesthetic impact! I’m looking forward to see more of his art projects and future works!” (Marius Cinteza, 2018 >> http://mcinteza.1x.com/)
“I discovered the photographic work of Alexandru Crisan about 3 years ago. His work is characterized by an aesthetic, a vision of the image that is his own signature. He offers extremely varied subjects in both color and black and white, always of great aesthetic quality. Looking forward to discover other pictures.” (Joseph Aieta, 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/joseph.aieta)
“Alexandru Crisan is a multifaceted artist photographer, curious about everything … Of course, his great technical mastery is at the service of movement, the fluid, light like many photographers but his look is unique and the idea that he makes to his image, projects us into emotion, meaning and aesthetics. The photos that particularly touch me by Alexandru, are his incredible portraits. Often on a dark background, it lets appear, lets shine, only the essential: the emotion of a form, a movement, a shadow, a cry, a joy, a desire, of a breath. His picture “The Angel” is, among many others, a magnificent illustration. Alexandru Crisan is a great name in contemporary photography, a very inspired artist photographer.” (David Durst, 2018 >> https://www.artlimited.net/david.durst)
“To say that Alexandru Crisan is an outstanding photographer and visual artist means to say nothing at all. The fact that he, as a professional architect simply knows elements and rules of composition on a mathematical level, doesn’t surprise me either! What is the most fascinating and striking in his photography? In my opinion, those are – a deep philosophy, poetics, taste and extraordinary sense of humor which applied to every image he creates! His works are never casual. It is always properly worked out the concept and systematic approach to a realization. Independently on a subject, whether manipulations, landscape or cityscape, and architecture, there is never one and the same way to deliver an image. It is always a quest and exceptional ability of self-critique and careful choosing the next work he is going to present.” (Oleg Ferstein on 1X, 2017 >> http://www.formofadrop.com)
“Alexandru Crisan (b. Bucharest, Romania 1978) is a visual artist specialized in fine art photography. He received his first film camera when he was 12 years old, and, a quarter of a century later, still has a soft spot for the black and white prints. An architect by formal education, his professional career in photography began in 2011 and since then, he has focused on completing and promoting his eclectic art projects. All his long-term, open-ended photographic series – such as “MyRomania” (2009-2015), “Impossible Worlds” (2010-2015), “Lost Highway” (2014-2015), “Surreal Manipulations” (2013-2015), “Impossible Objects” (2013-2014), “Minimal White” (2012-2014) or “Minimal Black” (2014-2015) – are meditations on space and human perceptions. His research on and within photography grasps a unique surreal vision on immateriality, while accentuating different stages of a hyperrealist understanding of reality. Since 2015 he has focused on developing new projects: “Erotoarchitecture”, “Alien Structures” and “Impossible Architectures”. All these projects are unified by a compulsive surreal vision. Complementary, he accentuates multiple imaginary versions of different worlds that accept contradictory interpretations. The “Impossible Architectures” project evokes mostly the architectural post-modern stance, trapped between sculptural volumes and light. The new open series started at the beginning of 2017, such as “Dreams”, “Asylum”, “Lust”, “Hypnosis” or “Fairytales”, are oriented towards a deep understanding of human anxieties, hopes or desires. Somewhere, beyond the envisioned world of dreams, his tormented, ugly or deformed characters hides a fantastic world of inner beauty revealed by the author through an extremely sensitive approach. The personal vision on interpreting easily distinguishable human emotions, clearly defines the boundaries of his personal style. Alexandru Crisan’s works are present in art galleries around the world and have been published in international peer-reviewed magazines. He has received several international awards and his fine art photography prints are held mostly in privately owned collections and galleries.” (C.StDinulescu, on expo 2015,2017 >> https://alexandru-crisan.com)

woaHHHHh! kinda’proud of you myu! 🙂 lv
ziua buna din nou!
revin cu comentariile mele deoarece descopar lucruri noi care imi intaresc convingerile mentionate in mesajele anterioare, legate de romani si Romania in general. in particular, de acesta data, citind comentariile incredibil de frumoase despre lucrarile tale, descopar cu stupoare 1 singur nume romanesc in panoplia de nume internationale si, stupoare din nou, 4 comentarii scrise de romani…. acel moment penibil in care ma gandesc in ce lume traim…D.

i am from Italy hello. Can you help me translate?
Hi.Congrats on this fantastic achievement. Your images are more than beautiful, they speak to us in an unconventional and strange manner, telling stories that couldn’t exist in a real world. You have a remarkable gift young man. Let us dream ahead in your fantastic world. All the best, Saul
Fine way of telling, and good paragraph to take facts on the topic of my presentation focus, which i am going to deliver in school. Lieselott Just wanted to say Hi! CathleenC
Excellent goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just too magnificent. I really like what you have acquired here, really like what you’re saying and the way in which you say it. You make it entertaining and you still care for to keep it wise. I can’t wait to read much more from you. This is really a terrific site.
What could I add to the sharp and accurate comments of all these talented people who not only share the art and photographic experience but have the know-how to explain themselves technically regarding Alexandru Crisan`s work? I will resort to my impressions as a viewer. What I admire in him is his freedom to artistically express himself and his embodied but sublimated sensitivity perceived everywhere my eye goes: drawings, paintings, photographic portraits, a variety of singular scapes, architectural monuments; you name it. In sum, an auteur who has clearly taken a different path he and only he knows to capture his soulful imprint and then generously give it out. The result: you find yourself blissfully trapped in the claws of a unique, sometimes eerie, sometimes disturbing or soothing but, at all times, captivating, fathomless beauty. And so, you look forward to more. If you have happened to find his work and felt a bit of this, keep looking: you will also find yourself blissfully trapped.
Bonne continuation. Amicalement. Gérard.
I have been looking Alexandru Crisan’s photographic work with admiration for a long time. From his very diverse portfolio, it is his “architectural” photographs that caught my attention first, “Impossible worlds” and “Lost highway” followed and his “soul portraits” came as another photographic discovery to me. His ability to approach and masterfully execute such diverse topics is impressive, as is the authenticity of his expression, which never seems to follow explored roads but rather reaches for the “unknown”. On this path, he has been artistically exploring space and time and possibilities of appearance in space-time, which can perhaps be seen as the “photographic architectonics of creation”, from the elements to the complex constructions, an artistic “conceptualization” of the basis for endless imaginative worlds. And the worlds he creates are many, from metaphysical macrocosm (worlds of appearance in space and time) to metaphysical microcosm (intrinsic worlds or those of soul). It is perhaps an attempt through the visible to come closer to that what is invisibly and mysteriously present and so it transcends the “real” and opens the multidimensional and multilayered horizon of the “surreal”, where “real” and “surreal” are not mere excluding oppositions but they present parts of the whole in which our “irrational” and “rational” side coexist crowned with this “intuitive compass” needed for the movement through. Crisan’s work possesses this rare quality through which I look forward to keep wandering in the future.
What intrigues me most in the work of Alexandru Crisan, are contrasting images of the human condition (the human being in despair versus almost naive in lovely passivity) interspersed with images of a habitat that is equally contrasting: on the one hand impressive images of the “ville dérivée” “(the” drift city “), on the other hand the in its abandonment restful and comforting (Romanian) landscape. Look at “Isolated – Wintertale in Romania” in contrast to the “The maze city” being adrift. I see this as the main theme: how to find your place in these extremes? Some of us are able to adept, like the woman “Waiting on a rainy day”, or can dream about it (“Dream my dream | a tale from the Fountain of Memories”, which by the way is also technically an amazing good work), see also “Nostalghia”. But others cannot adept, they live in despair (“Trauma 2.0”), they are doomed to live in a bad dream (“You’ll never escape from my dream”). This narrative in Alexandru’s powerful photo work lifts it (for me) to a high conceptual level, characterising the deeper sense of striking art.
When a Landscape becomes Poetry,
the Architecture Harmonius Geometry,
the Monochromatic Long Exposure of the Waterfalls a Spectacle for the Eyes…this is the Photography of Alexandru Crisan.

discovering Alexandru’s oeuvres is not an easy thing … everything is very personal, different, unique. The first striking impression, in my perception, is intense emotion. whatever subject , and he is one of the few artists able to can get inspired by about everything (people, woman, architecture, nature, or simply light or suggestion, not to forget ideas and concepts, he presents, there is deep feeling in it. One can see he first loves his images, and then find a work-out expressing this love. other aspects, among others, … unique, different, intriguing, and above all, lived and creative.
An explorer of the unseen facets of things. Attentive to detail, looking for different meaning, interpreting the seemingly trivial in a key that makes sense.
My best wishes and regards, my friend!

Often you will come across witnessing the beauty of his mind in the things he captures or reinvents with his camera. Crisan’s art is enigmatic yet profound. From one look at his art, you are made welcome, but you are also confronted. This wise mix of sentiments enriches his audience and familiarizes them with the unknown. No more are they strangers to a world they thought they no longer belong to; no more are they beings whose soul rests in confusion. His pictures are their refuge. A work by Crisan speaks the same language and plays the same scene that of his audience while they serenade along in the theater of their mind.
Alexandru is a constant source of inspiration, a creative soul and a beautiful mind. His photos are mesmerizing mostly because, if you look deep enough, you will definitely find a piece of you in there. It’s easy to identify with his faceless portraits, to feel the struggle and the emotions that he aims for you to feel when you watch his work and that speaks loudly about him as an artist and above all, as a human being. It’s difficult to pour your soul into your images, it takes a lot of courage and introspection and for that and many other reasons I really admire him.
Alexandru Crisan is an outstanding photographer and visual artist He shot different subjects with the same skill: landscape, cityscape, conceptual, portrait and architecture.
